GBDTA holds an annual scholarship for high school senior students of member teachers. Students are required to submit an application to their member teacher, and test in either ballet, tap, or jazz. Tests are completed in oral and performance form. Applicants must create a short self-choreographed dance to present as well. Every applicant is awarded a cash scholarship, and the amount is commensurate with their testing score. Applicants receiving the highest score in their genre will also receive an additional $500 as part of the Bette Campbell Award. Each year, the club awards tens of thousands of dollars to applicants.
